OUR MISSION
A world where all vulnerable urban households have sustainable livelihoods and food security.
To provide slum dwellers with a source of income and nutrition through the research and development of small scale urban agribusinesses.
OUR VISION
WHO WE ARE
Gro-Ganda is a student run slumfarming initiative in Kampala that aims to equip slum families with the skills and equipments to grow food in their homes.
Our team consists of student leaders from the University of Makerere working onsite with the slum families, local agricultural experts to provide technical support, and students from the University of Oxford as external consultants.
Our model has proven successful so far in the Acholi Quarters and we hope to expand it to other slums in Kampala.
